"Fitness, fashion, food and fun" is the slogan for the
St. Louis Working Women's Survival Show
Fitness is a big focus at the show.
Jennifer Scholl, owner of Pink Lemon Studio in Wentzville, Mo.,
will demonstrate exercise options that may be unknown to some women.
Her BUTI yoga classes combine traditional vinyasa flow yoga
with tribal-dance moves that add a cardiovascular element,
as well as bodyweight exercises, like push-ups, burpees and squats.
Polerina classes include ballet-inspired exercises to tone and strengthen using a pole.
Using repetitive, isotonic muscle exercises will make your arms, core and legs shake!
PoleSanity is a form of high-intensity interval training.
"It's like a circuit class," said Scholl, 30, who is a competitive pole dancer.
"You do several exercises in a row, and it gets really great results.
I just did it for five weeks, twice a week, and I lost 12 inches off my body."
